Straight Outa Bristol - Episodes #32-#40

      SERIES BACKGROUND:

Since January 2005, 'Straight Outa Bristol' has become a popular
podcast series on the iTunes Music Store. The series started way back
in 2001, by Host and Producer Sam Downie, with guest hosts John Stunt
and Lekan Latinwo. The series is currently being Produced, Edited and
Presented by Sam Downie, who is taking the series format further.

The series features interviews and music from the musicians, DJ's,
Bands and Venues behind Bristol's famous music scene. From Massive
Attack to Way Out West, hear all about their music and albums, and who
they are influenced by. To where they have performed, and the musical
instruments / equipment they use in their productions.
WHAT THE SERIES IS ALL ABOUT:

80% of the series focuses on unsigned bands, musicians and DJ's,
whilst 20% covers signed artists. Most 'current' broadcast shows on TV
cover signed artists, while this is good, however nobody knows about
the 'undiscovered stars' who are unsigned. I developed this series to
cover both, but with a strong backing behind the unsigned.

Featuring a mix of interviews, live music and recorded music and
footage of the musicians / artists in the studio, talking about their
influences to what they use in the studio or on thie albums. An
interesting, informative, entertaining and educative insight into
musicians, DJ's and the music industry.

I wanted to create a unique and different series, that didn't follow
the current trends in how bands/musicians are covered by the press, as
they seem to focus more on their personal/love life, than the music
and who influences them, to why they became a musician/performer in
the first place.
